The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has felicitated Muslims across the local government, Oyo State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year’s Maulud Nabiyu celebration.
Olufade, in a goodwill message made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, described the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as an important occasion for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life, teachings and virtues of the Holy Prophet.
He urged Muslims to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s teachings, particularly his virtues of love, compassion, humility, patience, justice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, the principles demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remain relevant to the promotion of peace, unity and sustainable development in communities and the nation at large.
The council chairman called on residents of Ibadan North to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and care for the less privileged, irrespective of religious, ethnic or social differences.
Olufade also used the occasion to pray for continued peace, progress and prosperity in Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State and Nigeria.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the local government greater development and sustainable progress, while also blessing Oyo State with stability and good governance.
The chairman further prayed for lasting peace, unity, security and economic prosperity across Nigeria, urging Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to building a better society.
He said: “May Almighty Allah continue to bless our people, strengthen the bonds of unity among us and make Ibadan North a model of peaceful coexistence and meaningful development.”
Olufade wished Muslims across Ibadan North, Oyo State and Nigeria a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, praying that Allah accepts their prayers and acts of worship.
