The Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has felicitated traditional worshippers across the world, particularly in Oyo State and Nigeria, on the occasion of the 2026 Isese Day celebration.

Chief Sanusi, in a statement made available to newsmen through his media team, described the annual celebration as an important opportunity to reflect on the rich cultural heritage, values and traditions of the Yoruba people.

He called on traditional worshippers to use the occasion to offer prayers for the continued peace, unity and progress of the nation.

The respected Ibadan High Chief specifically urged them to pray for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the government and people of Oyo State, as well as the peace, security and prosperity of Nigeria as a whole.

According to him, traditional institutions and cultural values remain important pillars in the preservation of the identity, unity and moral heritage of the Yoruba race.

Chief Sanusi therefore charged traditional worshippers to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, tolerance and mutual respect among people of different faiths and cultural backgrounds.

He reaffirmed the importance of unity among Nigerians, stressing that collective prayers, understanding and commitment to the common good are necessary for the continued development and stability of the country.

Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi wished all traditional worshippers a peaceful, successful and memorable Isese Day 2026 celebration.
