The Executive Chairmen of the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State have congratulated renowned elder statesman and distinguished patriot, Dr. Saka Balogun, on the occasion of his 90th birthday anniversary, describing him as one of the state’s most revered leaders whose life has been dedicated to service, integrity and nation-building.
In a statement jointly issued on behalf of the Oyo State Council of Local Government Chairmen, the Chairmen lauded Dr. Balogun’s remarkable journey of leadership, noting that his contributions to the political, social and economic development of Oyo State and Nigeria have remained enduring and impactful.
The statement described the nonagenarian as a symbol of wisdom, courage and exemplary statesmanship whose legacy continues to inspire both present and future generations of leaders.
According to the Chairmen, reaching the milestone age of 90 is not only a divine blessing but also a celebration of a lifetime devoted to promoting peace, unity, justice and the collective progress of society.
“Dr. Saka Balogun has distinguished himself as an exceptional elder statesman, a worthy patriot and a dependable leader whose commitment to the growth and stability of Oyo State remains exemplary. His counsel, humility and unwavering dedication to public service have earned him admiration across political, religious and ethnic divides,” the statement read.
The Council Chairmen further commended the celebrant for his invaluable role in mentoring younger leaders and his unwavering support for initiatives aimed at advancing good governance and sustainable development in the state.
They prayed that Almighty God would continue to bless Dr. Balogun with sound health, renewed strength, divine grace and many more years of peace, fulfilment and impactful service to humanity.
