Hon. Yusuf Adebisi, Deputy Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Member representing Ibadan South-West Constituency I, on Thursday paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the ongoing construction of a six-block classroom project facilitated to strengthen educational infrastructure and improve access to quality learning in the constituency.
‎

‎The project, approved by Governor Seyi Makinde through the intervention of the Oyo State Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA)  is expected to fast-track the establishment of the first public secondary school in Ibadan South-West Constituency I.
‎
‎During the inspection, Hon. Adebisi expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and commended Governor Makinde for prioritizing education and responding to the long-standing educational needs of residents of the constituency.
‎
‎According to him, the classroom project represents a major milestone in the effort to expand educational opportunities for children within the constituency.
‎
‎”This project is more than a block of classrooms; it is a foundation for the future of our children. For years, our people have yearned for a standard secondary school within this constituency, and today that dream is becoming a reality through the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde,” Adebisi stated.
‎
‎He revealed that all necessary arrangements are being put in place to ensure that the first set of students resumes academic activities when the new school opens in September 2026.
‎
‎”The Governor has graciously approved the establishment of this secondary school, and we are hopeful that the first batch of students will commence learning in the next academic session. This is a landmark achievement for our constituency and another testament to the people-oriented policies of this administration.”
‎
‎The lawmaker’s visit coincided with a gathering of hundreds of community stakeholders, political leaders, youth representatives, market leaders, and residents who were meeting within the constituency.
‎
‎Addressing the stakeholders, Adebisi assured them that more developmental projects would continue to reach all parts of Ibadan South-West Constituency I.
‎He emphasized that the current administration has consistently delivered tangible projects and interventions that have significantly improved the lives of the people.

‎
‎”Our constituency deserves the very best, and we remain committed to attracting projects that will improve education, security, healthcare, youth empowerment, and infrastructure. The era of empty promises is over. Today, our people can see and feel the impact of government through visible projects across our communities.”
‎
‎Adebisi also urged political leaders and residents to remain united and continue supporting developmental initiatives aimed at advancing the constituency.
‎
‎”This is the time for unity, not division. Development thrives where there is cooperation. I appeal to all politicians, community leaders, and stakeholders to place the interest of our people above personal ambitions. Together, we can build a constituency that future generations will be proud of.”
‎
‎He further assured constituents that his office would continue to engage with relevant government agencies and development partners to attract more projects capable of improving the socio-economic status of the constituency.
‎
‎Residents and stakeholders who witnessed the inspection expressed appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon. Yusuf Adebisi for their efforts in bringing critical educational infrastructure to the area, describing the project as a transformative development that will benefit generations of students and families.
