Great leaders are not only remembered for the positions they occupy but for the number of lives they influence and the leaders they help produce. This has remained one of the defining features of Barrister Seun Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu’s political journey.

Through years of mentorship, empowerment, and strategic support, he has built a network of committed individuals who continue to make meaningful contributions in governance, community development, and grassroots politics. His belief in identifying talents and providing opportunities has transformed many loyal followers into respected public servants and community leaders.

In this sixth series, we spotlight Hon. Azeez Waheed Emiloju, a grounded politician, grassroots mobilizer, and political strategist whose growth reflects the opportunities created through Barrister Ashamu’s leadership. A trained teacher and security expert, Hon. Emiloju has distinguished himself through dedication, organizational ability, and commitment to public service. He currently serves as Supervisory Councillor for Youth and Sports in Oyo East Local Government, where he continues to champion youth development and community engagement.

Beyond his local government responsibilities, Hon. Azeez Waheed Emiloju serves as the General Secretary of the Oyo State Supervisors’ Forum and also as the Secretary of Team SMS, positions that underscore the confidence reposed in his leadership and administrative abilities. Through these responsibilities, he has remained actively involved in policy discussions, grassroots mobilization, and initiatives aimed at strengthening political participation among young people. His journey is another testament to Barrister Ashamu’s commitment to identifying capable individuals, nurturing their potential, and preparing them for leadership responsibilities.

As Oyo Federal Constituency looks ahead to the next electoral cycle, the leadership record of Barrister Seun Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu continues to speak for itself. The APM candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency is not only a seasoned politician but also a learned jurist with a wealth of knowledge, administrative experience, and a deep understanding of governance.

He has served meritoriously as Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Commissioner for Environment, and Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Oyo State. Beyond these impressive credentials, his greatest achievement remains his ability to build people and create opportunities for others to succeed. The numerous success stories emerging from Team SMS and beyond are clear evidence of a leader who understands that true leadership is about developing human capacity.
