The three members representing Oyo Federal Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola (Atiba State Constituency), Hon. Olorunpoto Rahaman Cephas (Oyo East/Oyo West State Constituency), and Hon. Oparinde Oladejo (Afijio State Constituency), are set to co-host a Security Stakeholders’ Roundtable aimed at addressing security concerns and strengthening community safety across the constituency.

The event, scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, is being organised in collaboration with Oyo Premier Club, to be chaired by Dr. Adekunle Ogunmola, and will bring together key stakeholders from various sectors to deliberate on the security situation within the constituency and identify practical solutions to emerging challenges.

Expected participants include traditional rulers, community leaders, security operatives, religious leaders, youth groups, professional bodies, and other relevant stakeholders whose contributions are considered vital to sustaining peace and security in the area.

According to the organisers, the roundtable is designed to provide a platform for constructive engagement, information sharing, and collective action towards enhancing the security architecture of communities across Oyo Federal Constituency.

The lawmakers noted that security remains a shared responsibility, stressing the need for stronger collaboration between government, security agencies, community leaders, and residents in tackling security threats and promoting peaceful coexistence.

They expressed confidence that the roundtable would generate actionable recommendations capable of improving community safety and fostering a more secure environment for residents.

The stakeholders’ engagement is expected to culminate in practical resolutions and a renewed commitment from all participants to support efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and property across Oyo Federal Constituency.
