In a bold demonstration of grassroots engagement and people-centered politics, Engr. Kolawole Adedeji Sheu, popularly known as KSA, the Allied People’s Movement APM candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections, on Saturday sponsored six fully-equipped UEFA Champions League final viewing centres across the constituency, treating hundreds of football lovers to free match access, complimentary refreshments, drinks, and gifts.

The initiative, which ran simultaneously in strategic locations within Ido and Ibarapa East Local Government Areas, transformed the European football showpiece into a community festival of unity, entertainment, and social interaction. By bringing the excitement of the Champions League final directly to the grassroots, KSA reinforced his reputation as a leader who prioritizes the welfare, recreation, and collective well-being of his constituents beyond election cycles.

The major viewing centres included Rhetorix Lounge, Ologuneru, and Deking Lounge, Omi Adio, both in Ido Local Government Area; as well as Eruwa Viewing Centre, JUST TO Viewing Centre, LOVE ALL Viewing Centre, all in Eruwa; and GOKE Concepts Viewing Centre, Oke Imale, Lanlate, in Ibarapa East Local Government Area. Each venue was fully branded, secured, and equipped with large LED screens, quality sound systems, and adequate seating to guarantee fans a premium match-day experience.

From kickoff to the final whistle, the atmosphere across all six centres was electric. Attendees, comprising youths, community leaders, market vendors, and football enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds, were entertained with free drinks, refreshments, and branded gifts distributed by KSA’s team. The gesture created a festive environment that transcended club loyalties, uniting residents under the common love for the game.

Residents who participated in the event expressed profound appreciation for KSA’s thoughtful intervention. Many commended him for making top-tier sports entertainment accessible at the grassroots level without a financial burden on the people. Beneficiaries described the initiative as “timely, inclusive, and refreshing,” noting that it provided a rare opportunity for families and friends to bond while enjoying world-class football.

Speaking through members of his media team, KSA reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to maintaining close, people-focused relationships with residents of Ido and Ibarapa East. While joining the youth and residents at Apete in watching the match, KSA emphasized that the viewing centre project was deliberately designed to promote youth engagement, foster community cohesion, and create healthy recreational outlets for constituents.

“Sports is more than entertainment; it is a unifying force. It builds bridges across age, religion, and political lines. Through initiatives like this, we can strengthen social bonds among our young people and create platforms that promote community development,” KSA stated. He further pledged that his representation would consistently prioritize programmes that uplift the youth, encourage talent discovery, and stimulate social integration across the constituency.

The successful hosting of six simultaneous viewing centres further underscores KSA’s expanding grassroots presence and its deep understanding of constituency dynamics. Supporters described the gesture as another clear demonstration of his people-oriented approach, arguing that it reflects the kind of proactive, service-driven leadership needed to represent Ido/Ibarapa East effectively at the National Assembly.

With the 2027 elections approaching, KSA’s Champions League outreach is being widely interpreted as a statement of intent, a commitment to politics that delivers tangible value, promotes unity, and connects directly with the everyday aspirations of the people. As applause continues to trail the event across both local governments, constituents maintain that leadership must be felt, not just heard.
