
The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Services Agency and Special Adviser to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde on Fire Service Reform, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-al-Kabir celebration.
Hon. Akinwande, in his goodwill message, urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love, peace and compassion, which the festival symbolises, while also praying for sustained peace, unity and progress in Oyo State and the country at large
He called on the faithful to use the festive period to promote harmony, support the less privileged and continue to pray for the success of the administration of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde in its efforts towards ensuring security, infrastructural development and improved welfare for residents of the state.
The Fire Service Agency Chairman also advised residents to prioritise safety measures during the celebration, particularly in the handling of electrical appliances, cooking equipment and combustible materials, in order to prevent fire outbreaks and other emergencies.
According to him, the Oyo State Fire Services Agency remains committed to protecting lives and property across the state through prompt emergency response and continuous public sensitisation on fire prevention and safety.
Hon. Akinwande further wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid-al-Kabir celebration filled with blessings, happiness and renewed hope for a better development
