Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State for the 2027 election, has celebrated children across Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of Children’s Day, describing them as the future and hope of the nation.
In a statement, Barr Akeem Agbaje stressed the need for society and government at all levels to remain committed to creating an enabling environment where every child, irrespective of parental background, social status, location, or language, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and fulfill their potential.
He noted that children deserve access to quality education, security, healthcare, moral guidance, and opportunities that would help shape them into responsible and productive citizens in the future.

“Children remain the future of Oyo State and Nigeria. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, dream, and shine regardless of the status of their parents, their location, or the language they speak.”

The APC chieftain also used the occasion to express concern over the abduction of children and parents in Ahoro-Esinele, calling on both the Federal and Oyo State governments to intensify collaboration and security efforts toward ensuring their safe rescue.

“As we celebrate Children’s Day today, my thoughts and prayers remain with the abducted children and parents in Ahoro- Esinele. I urge both the Federal and State governments to synergize and intensify efforts to ensure their safe rescue and reunification with their families.”
Agbaje further called for collective responsibility in protecting children and building a society where peace, safety, compassion, and equal opportunities remain accessible to every child.
