
A 75-year-old man in Saki axis, Oke-Ogun areas of Oyo State, has been rescued from a well.
Heritage Echo reported that the man whose name has not been revealed,was rescued by personnel of the Oyo State Fire Service on Monday evening.
He has been handed over to the end of the Nigeria Police Force, Saki Divisional Headquarters.
Special Adviser to the Governor and Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service Agency, Hon Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident.
Akinwande in a statement made available to Heritage Echo on Tuesday evening said, “Upon arrival, there was a man of about 75 years trapped in a well when he wanted to retrieve a bucket from the water well.
“The victims were rescued alive and handed over to a team of policemen from Saki Divisional Headquarters led by ASP Yusuf Olarinoye”.
Our correspondent gathered that properties worth millions of naira were also affected when fire ravaged some flats at Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo Barracks, Ojoo in Ibadan.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
Akinwande also confirmed the incident.
He said that men of the agency launched a coordinated operation to contain the fire from spreading further.
