‎Hundreds of registered members and supporters of the Alliance People’s Movement (APM) on Wednesday converged on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, in a massive solidarity rally held in support of Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi, the lawmaker representing Ibadan Southwest Constituency I at the Oyo State House of Assembly.

‎The event, which attracted party loyalists, community leaders, youths, women groups, and political stakeholders from different parts of the constituency, was described by participants as a demonstration of unity, loyalty, and appreciation for the leadership style and developmental contributions of Hon. Adebisi over the years.

‎The supporters arrived in large numbers with banners, chants, and songs praising the lawmaker for what they termed “quality representation, accessibility, and people-centered leadership.” The rally also witnessed enthusiastic displays of support for the growing political understanding and cooperation between members of the PDP and APM in Oyo State.

‎Addressing journalists during the gathering, several party members noted that the solidarity movement became necessary following increasing public discussions surrounding the political future of Hon. Adebisi and recent attempts by detractors to create unnecessary controversies around his political ambition.

‎According to the supporters, the overwhelming turnout at the PDP House was a clear indication that the people of Ibadan Southwest Constituency I remain firmly behind Hon. Adebisi and appreciate his dedication to grassroots development and legislative service.

‎They described him as a lawmaker whose impact has continued to resonate across various sectors including education, youth empowerment, sports development, road rehabilitation, community support initiatives, and human capital development.

‎The supporters also used the occasion to express profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for providing purposeful leadership and creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness and political stability in the state.

‎The group commended the governor for sustaining peace within the political structure while continuously supporting lawmakers and leaders committed to grassroots development.

‎Speaking on behalf of the supporters, some party stakeholders stated that Hon. Adebisi has distinguished himself through effective representation and consistent engagement with constituents, adding that his loyalty to the people and commitment to development have earned him widespread acceptance beyond party lines.

‎They emphasized that the solidarity visit was neither staged nor sponsored but rather a voluntary movement by registered members and loyalists who felt the need to publicly identify with a leader they believe has performed creditably in office.

‎The gathering further served as an avenue for party faithful to reaffirm their commitment to unity, continuity, and collective progress ahead of future political activities in the state.

‎Political observers present at the event noted that the massive turnout further underlines Hon. Adebisi’s growing influence within Ibadan Southwest politics and reflects the confidence many grassroots supporters have in his leadership capacity.

‎Many residents who spoke during the event also highlighted the lawmaker’s accessibility and regular interaction with constituents as major factors responsible for his popularity among youths and community stakeholders.

‎The rally ended peacefully with prayers for the continued progress of Oyo State, the success of the PDP-APM alliance, and sustained development across Ibadan Southwest Constituency I.
