Afolabi Idris Olanrewaju, popularly known as “Aloma,” has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Oyo Federal Constituency, ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
Aloma secured the party’s ticket following the PDP primary election held on Sunday, May 17th, 2027 in Oyo, where he came out the winner in the primary election to clinch the nomination.
His emergence has since generated excitement among party loyalists and supporters across the constituency, with many describing his candidacy as a positive move ahead of the forthcoming election.
Speaking shortly after his emergence, Aloma expressed appreciation to party delegates, leaders, and supporters for their confidence in his leadership capacity, pledging to deliver quality representation and prioritize the welfare of constituents if elected.
He also called on members of the party to remain united and committed to ensuring victory for the PDP in the general election.
