Residents and pupils across several primary schools in Ido Local Government Area were filled with excitement as Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, embarked on a humanitarian visit to schools within the council area, where he donated exercise books, addressed urgent needs of pupils, and promised immediate rehabilitation of affected school facilities.

The visit, which covered different wards in the local government, was aimed at assessing the welfare and learning conditions of pupils in public primary schools, while also identifying pressing challenges confronting the schools.

During his visit to IDC Onidoko Primary School in Ward 10, KSA was visibly touched by the condition of some pupils, many of whom were seen without proper school uniforms. Moved by the situation, he immediately instructed a tailor to take measurements of the affected pupils for the production of new school uniforms.

Observers described the moment as emotional, as the pupils and teachers expressed gratitude for the timely intervention.

KSA also inspected several dilapidated sections within the schools visited and requested detailed information about the affected areas. In response, he instantly promised renovation and rehabilitation works, with reports confirming that work has already commenced in some of the affected locations.

As part of his outreach, exercise books were distributed to pupils across the schools visited, while emergency needs identified during the inspection were also attended to.

The schools visited during the exercise include IDC Model School, Woke, Ido Local Government; St. John Primary School, Ido; IDC Olojeokun Primary School in Ward 7; and Community Primary School, Akufo Farm Settlement, Ward 4, all within Ido Local Government Area.

Community leaders, teachers, and parents who witnessed the visits commended KSA for what they described as a compassionate and people-oriented gesture, noting that the intervention would go a long way in improving the morale and learning environment of the pupils.

They further praised his swift response to the infrastructural challenges observed during the visits, expressing optimism that the rehabilitation efforts would positively impact basic education within the local government area.
