In what many political observers have described as a major show of unity and confidence, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel has emerged as the consensus candidate for Ibadan North Constituency II ahead of the forthcoming election.

The development followed weeks of consultations, deliberations, and political engagements among party stakeholders and leaders within the constituency over who would eventually fly the party’s flag.

Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, who is currently serving his second term as the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency II at the Oyo State House of Assembly, was eventually adopted by consensus after party leaders and supporters reportedly resolved their differences in the interest of continuity, stability, and effective representation.

His emergence is seen by many supporters as a testament to his performance, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development since assuming office. Constituents and loyalists have continued to commend his legislative contributions, youth-friendly initiatives, and consistent engagement with the people at the grassroots level.

With this latest development, the lawmaker is now set to seek a third term in office as the party’s official candidate for Ibadan North Constituency II.

Party faithfuls and supporters who reacted to the announcement expressed optimism that the consensus arrangement would further strengthen unity within the party and improve its chances at the polls.

Political stakeholders in the constituency also described the decision as a strategic move aimed at sustaining ongoing developmental efforts and preserving experienced leadership within the constituency.
