…Intervention targets faulty transformer serving multiple neighbourhoods, with repairs slated for completion within 10 days

The lawmaker representing Oyo East/Oyo West Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olorunpoto Rahaman Cephas, has committed the sum of ₦1 million from personal funds towards the repair of a faulty transformer in the Tobacco area of Oyo East Local Government.

The transformer, located beside Adeyeye’s residence, supplies electricity to a wide stretch of communities, including parts of Owode, the Union Bank axis, Tobacco, Araromi covering the lawmaker’s own street and areas behind Dynasty FM, opposite Olivet Heights. The affected zones span across Ward 10 in Oyo East and Ward 9 in Oyo West Local Government Areas.

Hon. Olorunpoto, accompanied by the PDP Chairman, the Youth Leader of Ward 10, and other stakeholders, visited the site to assess the level of damage and expedite intervention efforts.

Describing electricity as a critical driver of socio-economic activities, the lawmaker stressed that access to stable power supply remains essential for the well-being and productivity of residents.

“When our people are affected, we must act swiftly. Electricity is not a luxury but a necessity for our daily lives and the local economy,” he stated.

He further assured constituents that repair works are expected to be completed within 10 working days, restoring normal power supply to the affected communities.

The intervention has been welcomed by residents as a timely response to a pressing infrastructural challenge.
