Members of the Oyo State Supervisors Forum on Thursday staged a solidarity rally in Ibadan, reaffirming their support for Governor Seyi Makinde in the wake of alleged impeachment rumours.

The council functionaries across the 33 local government areas of the state commenced the rally at the Bere area of the city, proceeding in an organized walk to the Governor’s residence at Ikolaba, in what they described as a peaceful demonstration of loyalty and confidence in the administration.

Addressing participants at the end of the procession, Otunba Seye Famojuro commended the supervisors for their show of unity, noting that the rally underscored their unwavering backing of the governor.

He stated that the turnout and orderly conduct of the rally reflected a strong vote of confidence in Makinde’s leadership, particularly at a time when unfounded speculations of impeachment have surfaced.

Famojuro dismissed the rumours as baseless, stressing that stakeholders at the grassroots remain firmly aligned with the governor and his developmental agenda.

He further highlighted that the Makinde-led administration has continued to deliver democratic dividends across key sectors, including education, infrastructure, healthcare, and agribusiness.

According to him, these achievements have strengthened public trust and justified the continued support of political office holders and citizens alike.

The rally concluded with calls for sustained unity among government functionaries and renewed commitment to supporting policies aimed at advancing development across Oyo State.
