The Project Consultant for the ongoing rehabilitation and construction of the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Annex in Oyo town, Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, popularly known as AROSAD, on Tuesday hosted chairmen and executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Oyo Federal Constituency, where he provided updates on the progress of work and called for sustained grassroots support.

Addressing party stakeholders at the meeting, AROSAD said the essence of the engagement was to inform party leaders on the scope, objectives, and expected impact of the project, which he noted was facilitated through the efforts of Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu and approved by Governor Seyi Makinde.

He described the hospital annex project as a strategic intervention aimed at training medical students, medical research, and strengthening healthcare delivery in Oyo town and its environs, while also contributing to the broader development agenda of the state government.

According to him, the facility, upon completion, would be equipped with modern medical infrastructure capable of addressing existing gaps in healthcare services and improving patient outcomes within the next six months.

AROSAD stressed that beyond healthcare delivery, the project would serve as a training hub for medical and health-related courses, thereby supporting tertiary institutions—both public and private—in the training of professionals in nursing and medicine.

He further urged party members to view the initiative as a collective effort to rebuild public confidence and enhance the image of the PDP in Oyo Federal Constituency through impactful governance.

The consultant also disclosed that a skilled workforce across various vocational fields, including plumbing, welding, carpentry, bricklaying, painting, and aluminum works, would be engaged in the execution of the project, thereby creating economic opportunities for Oyo indigenes.

In his remarks, Alhaji Kareem Adesina Rasheed Àgbà commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to sustainable development and human capital advancement, noting that the hospital project reflects the administration’s dedication to improving the welfare of citizens.

He also acknowledged the contributions of Senator Sunmonu in strengthening party unity and facilitating developmental initiatives within the constituency.

Àgbà expressed confidence that the project would stand the test of time and further consolidate the PDP’s presence in the constituency, pledging continued support from party members toward its successful completion.

Similarly, Hon. Sakiru Ojo, a former PDP Chairman in Oyo East Local Government, described the project as a reflection of purposeful leadership, urging party faithful to take ownership of the initiative by nominating competent and skilled individuals for engagement at the site.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Oyo Federal Constituency, Hon. Liasu Akinkunmi Alawode, called on party leaders to disseminate accurate information about the project across all wards and interest groups within the party.

In the same vein, Alhaji Muideen Eyitayo Sunmonu emphasized the need for unity among party members, noting that cohesion remains key to unlocking greater opportunities and ensuring the success of developmental projects.

The meeting had in attendance key stakeholders, including party executives and local government representatives, who reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing support and ensuring effective communication on the project across the constituency.

In attendance are; Alhaji Muideen Eyitayo Sunmonu, Liasu Akinkunmi Alawode (GLO), Hon. Akin Ejalonibu, Hon. Sakiru Ojo (Former Oyo East PDP Chairman), Party Chairman Oyo West LG, Hon. Akeem, Party Chairman Afijio local government, and other local executives.
