As the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde continues to create conducive teaching and learning environments in state-owned public schools, a total renovation of 105 public schools have been completed while another 36 schools are currently undergoing renovations across the three senatorial districts.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Intervention, Oloye Suraj Tiamy while commending the infrastructure strides of the present administration also berated critics who insist the government hasn’t embarked on renovation of any school in the state.

Oloye Tiamy stated that under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, remarkable strides have been recorded in the education sector. The government has successfully completed the renovation of 105 primary schools, is currently undertaking the construction and renovation of 36 schools under the state project, and is set to commence the renovation and construction of 95 additional primary schools across all Local Government Areas in Oyo State.

Each of these projects is delivered with essential facilities, including four-cubicle toilets for both boys and girls, solar-powered boreholes, perimeter fencing, and classroom furniture, ensuring a safe, functional, and conducive learning environment for pupils.

“In Oyo State, the education sector is being strengthened for optimal performance as Governor Seyi Makinde is providing free, compulsory, and accessible basic and secondary education.

” This effort is complemented by ongoing construction and renovation of public schools’ infrastructure Intervention in the state.”

Hon Tiamy described comments made by unscrupulous persons trying to denigrate the achievements of the present administration as not just laughable but lacking substance.

He described the falsehood as an attempt to discredit the remarkable progress being achieved under the leadership of the visionary governor.

“It’s unfortunate that those whose party and administration presided over the rot in the education sector for eight years would now have the audacity to criticize a government is focused on fixing the mess they left behind.

The Governor’s aide added that under Governor Makinde’s leadership, the education system has experienced significant stability and reform.

Tiamy therefore challenged the Critics to show evidence of similar progress they recorded in their tenure noting that the present administration will not be blackmailed into silence.

“Governor Seyi Makinde is focused and his eyes are in the ball.

“Criticism is welcome but it must be constructive, not wicked or rooted in sanctimonious grandstanding.”

“What is annoying is the claim about Aperin Oniyere Commercial Grammar School Adesina, Orita aperin Ibadan which they claim remains dilapidated has been renovated after which their old students paid thank-you visit to the state government.”
