Members of the Oluyole Formidable Elders Forum on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to Otunba Seye Famojuro in celebration of his birthday anniversary, in what was described as a gathering that combined goodwill with clear political message.

Otunba Famojuro had celebrated his birthday anniversary earlier in the week as politicians and government officials celebrated him across the state.

The delegation, led by former Peoples Democratic Party chairman in Oluyole Local Government, Alhaji Mukaila Adegbola, alongside a former Oyo State Commissioner, Engr. Ayuba Balogun, commended Famojuro for what they termed his consistent commitment to the stability and growth of the PDP in Oluyole and across the state.

In their separate remarks, the elders described Famojuro as a loyal ally of Governor Seyi Makinde and a dependable figure within the party’s structure.

They noted that his contributions to grassroots mobilisation and party cohesion have strengthened the PDP’s foothold in the local government.

The forum used the occasion to reaffirm its support for Governor Makinde’s administration, stressing that the PDP in Oluyole remains united behind his leadership.

Members declared their readiness to align with any candidate endorsed by the governor in the 2027 general elections, emphasizing that party discipline and unity would remain central to their political decisions.

The elders also lauded the Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, for implementing projects and policies aimed at improving residents’ living standards.

According to them, Olatunji’s infrastructural and community-based initiatives reflect the good governance philosophy of the Makinde administration at the grassroots level.

The visit attracted a wide spectrum of religious and community leaders who joined the entourage to declare support for the administration and leadership of Olatunji in Oluyole LG.

Details of the visit were kept private from public glare but insiders said talks also featured political development in Oluyole local government as 2027 general election draws near.

Among those on the entourage were Baale Kabiru Olajide; Reverend Paulson, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Oluyole chapter; Alhaji Imam Taliat, Chief Imam of Oluyole; the Babaloja of Oluyole; Alhaja Lola, President of the National Council for Women Society, Oluyole chapter; former Special Adviser to the Governor, Engr. Sola Sofowora; former Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Abore; pioneer PDP Chairman in Oluyole, Pastor Remi Adedapo.

Other leaders present were Oyo State Treasurer of the Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Comrade Kamoru Idowu, popularly known as Owo Geesi; Chairman of Oyo State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, Alhaji Waheed Afobaje; and other stakeholders.
The event, though celebratory in tone, further signaled ongoing political consultations within the PDP in Oluyole as the state gradually looks ahead to the next electoral cycle.
