According to the news reaching Heritage Echo, it was gathered that one man whose identity is yet to be revealed has been hospitalized in the ancient Kishi town in Oke-Ogun axis, Irepo local government area of Oyo State, as a result of injuries sustained during a fire incident.

The in incident occurred on Wednesday night, as a man was injured when a truck carrying rubber materials was gutted by fire.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform/Agency Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident.
Akinwande said, “Upon arrival, it was a Volvo truck registration unknown, loaded with rubber materials covered by intensive flames. The firemen swiftly got into action, launched an articulated attack, and displayed professional technical know-how to rescue a male person.
“One man was rescued alive and conveyed to the nearby hospital in Kishi.
“Fire service was able to save the nearby buildings and properties from imminent fire.
“The unfortunate incident was a result of sparks from the engine compartment of the truck while in motion.”
Resident applauded the Oyo State Governor His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde for providing state-of-the-art equipment to the firefighters in responding to emergencies.
However, Hon. Akinwande urged the truck owners to prioritize fire safety guidelines associated with trucks on the road.
He also emphasized the importance of having fire extinguishers in all their trucks to prevent fire incidents at the incipient stage.
