Bayo Adelabu, Nigeria’s Minister of Power, has come under fire from GSM Advocates, who accuse him of being arrogant and lacking the capacity to effectively manage the nation’s power sector. Critics argue that his tenure has exacerbated the country’s already dire power supply issues, with frequent blackouts and inadequate electricity distribution.

Adelabu’s critics point to his handling of àelectricity tariff hikes, which have been met with widespread criticism and accusations of insensitivity to the ploning struggles of Nigerians. The minister has also been accused of blaming past administrations for the sector’s woes, rather than taking concrete steps to address the problems.

The power sector’s challenges are multifaceted, with issues ranging from inadequate infrastructure to poor governance and corruption. Adelabu’s leadership has been questioned, with some calling for his removal from office.

Nigerians are calling for Minister Bayo Adelabu’s resignation, labeling him “Minister of Darkness” due to worsening power supply issues. Reactions poured in:

kelOnovo: “Since you took over, we’ve had it worse than ever. No excuse, you simply don’t know the job. If you knew you couldn’t do it, you should’ve stepped down.”

abiolablackdiva: “You’ve set us back 15 years. Light is a luxury since you became minister.”

rachy01: “24-hour light isn’t rocket science. Enough excuses already.”

Critics accuse Adelabu of lacking capacity and being arrogant, with some questioning his leadership amidst rising frustrations over constant blackouts and inadequate electricity distribution.

Bayo Adelabu’s leadership style has drawn criticism, with accusations that he fosters division rather than unity. His approach to governance and problem-solving has raised concerns about his ability to effectively manage a state like Oyo. Critics argue his tenure as Minister of Power has been marked by controversy and worsening power supply issues, sparking calls for his resignation.

Reports from Oyo State and neighboring regions, including Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun, and Lagos, confirm persistent power outages, even during festive periods. This has fueled criticism that Minister Bayo Adelabu lacks the capacity to address Nigeria’s electricity challenges.
