According to the information reaching Heritage Echo Newsroom, properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed as Fire Ravages Residential buildings in the Iseyin axis of Oyo State.
The incident occurred today, Sunday, 7th December 2025, at the Ambere Koso area in Iseyin.
Heritage Echo reported that the fire started around 12 a.m. on Sunday and affected the third room of the ancient residential building.
Properties Worth Millions of naira were destroyed but no life was lost in the terrible inferno.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform/Chairman, Hon Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident.
He said, “The fire officer led by CFS Banuso promptly responded and deployed to the scene of the incident.
“Upon arrival, we met the third room of an ancient residential building well alighted and we swiftly swung into action and the fire was restricted from spreading to other parts of the building. No casualty was recorded.
“The fire started from the wall socket due to the overloading of electrical appliances.
However, the operation was carried out successfully and properties worth millions of naira were saved by the officers of the fire services.
Residents applauded the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde for providing state-of-the-art equipment to the State fire service in responding to emergencies as at needed.
On finality, Hon. Akinwande urged the public to always observe fire safety precautions in their daily activities and cooperate with the fire officers, noting that they are always there to protect their valuable lives and properties.
