I join the growing call to demand the immediate and unconditional release of Hon. Wale Oriade, a dedicated chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, who was abducted a few days ago.
The news of his kidnapping has sent shockwaves through our party and the entire Oyo State community, reminding us once again of the painful reality that no one is truly safe when insecurity persists.
Hon. Oriade is a family man, a grassroots leader, and a committed public servant whose absence is deeply felt by his loved ones and constituents.
His abduction is not just a personal tragedy but an assault on the peace and stability we all desire, and it demands urgent action from every quarter.
No meaningful development can take root in an atmosphere where citizens live in fear for their lives and property.
Security is the foundation upon which every other aspiration, maybe education, healthcare, economic growth stands, and its absence erodes trust in governance itself.
I therefore charge the Oyo State Government, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, and all security agencies to mount a serious, well-coordinated, and sustained effort to secure the safe return of Hon. Wale Oriade to his family unharmed.
This is not a test of our collective resolve to protect our people, and failure is not an option.
Finally, I call on all well-meaning indigenes of Oyo State, Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, and people of goodwill everywhere to join in fervent prayers for Hon. Oriade’s safe release and for every Nigerian currently in the hands of kidnappers.
May the Almighty soften the hearts of his captors, guide the steps of those searching for him, and reunite him with his family in peace and good health.
Let us also pray for strength for his wife, children, and loved ones during this trying time.
Oyo State and Nigeria deserve to be places where no one goes to bed fearing tomorrow.
Together, we will overcome this darkness.
