In a move that has stirred excitement within the political circle of Oyo West Local Government, Ojongbodu, Oyo, the popular Prince of the empire who doubles as the CEO of Ocean Track Holdings, Prince Afeez Kolade Siyanbola Ladigbolu has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The formal declaration took place at his Ward 02 residence during a well-attended gathering of party leaders, members, and supporters, marking a significant addition to the ruling party’s growing influence in the area.
He, however made it official on Wednesday during the general meeting attended by party Chairman, local executives, Ward executives, leaders, Stakeholders, and faithful party members with a rousing welcome by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo West local government held at Bola Primary School, Sanga, Oyo, Oyo State.
Prince Ladigbolu, a respected technocrat, youth mobilizer, community advocate, and Prince of the Oyo empire expressed his commitment to contributing his quota toward the growth and success of the PDP both in Oyo West and across the state.
He emphasized that his decision was driven by his confidence in the leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde with an eye-opener conviction of Omittuntun 1•0 accelerated development which transforms the Pacesetter State and the PDP’s vision for inclusive governance coupled with sustainable development.
“My decision to join the PDP is based on conviction and alignment with Governor Makinde’s developmental agenda for Oyo State. Changing the narrative from Poverty to Prosperity as well as becoming a national icon to Continental beacon, while I believe the party represents the best platform for genuine service to our people,” Prince Ladigbolu stated.
Addressing the members at the gathering, Oyo West PDP Party Chairman, Hon. Akeem applauded the new entrants to the party for their patience to look inward vividly and come out with a conviction that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) remains the best platform to eradicate the masses’ suffering.
He reiterated that the executive Governor of Oyo State Engr ‘Seyi Makinde, together with the Legislative arms and the local government Chairmen have changed the narrative of governance as business unusual through their democratic dividends in ensuring good governance prevails.
“Umbrella as our logo is large enough to accommodate all, put an end to economic meltdown, and promote good governance at its peak” Akeem declared
Also, Party Leaders, stakeholders, women, and youth leaders welcomed him to the party, describing it as a strategic boost ahead of future political engagements.
They commended Prince Ladigbolu’s courage and influence, assuring him of full integration into the PDP family.
The event was attended by notable figures within the Oyo West PDP structure, including local executives, ward leaders, youth representatives, and women mobilizers, all of whom hailed his entry as a positive step toward strengthening the party’s base.
With his official registration completed, Prince Afeez Kolade Ladigbolu pledged to work collaboratively with other party members to sustain the PDP’s dominance in Oyo West and contribute to the state’s ongoing progress under the current administration.
