A former State Ex-Officio member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Hon. Olanrewaju Muhammad, has formally announced his resignation from the party for African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Olanrewaju, popularly known as Alhaji M.M., a resident of Ward 08 in Atiba local government area Offa-meta, Oyo.

In a statement released, personally and made available to newsmen on Wednesday, Muhammad cited personal convictions and the need to align with his evolving political ideology as reasons for his decision to leave the party he has served for several years.

He expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership at both the state and local government levels for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the party during his tenure.

“My decision to resign was not made lightly. I remain deeply appreciative of the friendships, experiences, and lessons gained over the years. However, the time has come for me to take a different path based on personal conviction,” Muhammad stated.

The former Ex-Officio member commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his leadership in Oyo State, describing him as a visionary who has set a remarkable standard in governance.

He, however, maintained that his resignation was a personal choice rooted in conscience and future aspirations.

Muhammad assured his supporters that he remains committed to serving his community and contributing meaningfully to the political and socio-economic progress of the state.

He, however announced his next political party, African Democratic Congress (ADC).
