A chieftain of the Oyo Npe ooo political movement in Ido Local Government, Alhaji Adelakun Adesola Fatai, has refuted recent rumors suggesting cracks or internal disputes within the group, declaring that Oyo Npe ooo remains solid, united, and focused on its mission.

It would be recalled that one of the PDP members in Ido Ward 08, Mr. Kazeem Olalekan defected to the Oyo Npe ooo movement. However, within a week, due to a text message threat, he made a U-turn back to PDP, where some ungodly words were used against our volunteering movement.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan, Alh. Adelakun described the circulating reports as baseless and mischievous attempts by detractors to sow discord among members of the formidable political structure that has continued to gain ground across Oyo State, calling Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat for Oyo State Governor in 2027

He emphasized that the Oyo Npe ooo movement in Ido local government remains stronger under his watch in its commitment to good governance, youth inclusion, and grassroots mobilization ahead of future political engagements.

“Those spreading rumors of division in the Oyo Npe ooo or non-genuine movement especially in the Ido Local Government, are only trying to distract us. Our structure is intact, our members are loyal, and our objectives are clear, to support meaningful development and progressive leadership in Oyo State, come 2027 with Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat as the gubernatorial candidate” Alh. Adelakun stated.
He further commended his members from Ward 1 to 10 in Ido, stressing that his leadership in the movement focuses on transparency, discipline, and unity of purpose among members, assuring that the Ido chapter would continue to uphold the ideals and vision that the group represents.
Alh. Adelakun also called on members and supporters to disregard false narratives circulating on social media, urging them to remain focused and steadfast in their commitment to the collective progress of the organization.

“Oyo Npe ooo is not just a slogan — it is a call for responsible governance and inclusive leadership. We will not be distracted by propaganda,” he added.
Adelakun further reiterated that Kazeem Olalekan, his wife and one younger brother were the only individual defect to PDP saying over 1,000 members in Ido won’t relent in propagating the gospel of Oyo Npe ooo movement.
The Oyo Npe ooo movement has continued to grow in popularity across the state, attracting new members and strengthening its presence at the grassroots level as it positions itself as a formidable force in Oyo’s evolving political landscape.
