A Mack Trailer Tanker Carrying 45,000 litres capacity of Premium Motor Spirits also known as PMS has been prevented from content gushing to spillage in Fiditi, Oyo State.

The incident occurred at the External Home Hemetery Area along the Ibadan /Oyo Express Way, Fiditi, Oyo State.

Heritage Echo gathered that a MACK trailer tanker registration number T30874LA (Lagos) loaded with 45,000 litres capacity of premium motor spirit (PMS) lost control whilst on motion and ran into a MAN DIESEL CARGO trailer with registration number TRR 611SA (BAUCHI), with content gushing out, no life was lost according to the source.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform and Agency Chairman Hon Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday.
He said, “The emergency call was reported at exactly 19:15hrs on Thursday 9th October 2025 through a telephone call and CFS Binuyo to the accident at the said address.
“The Agency’s Officers led by CFM Akinlabi promptly deployed to the scene of the incident. On getting there, it was a MACK trailer tanker registration no (Lagos)T30874LA loaded with 45,000 litres capacity of premium motor spirit (PMS) lost control whilst on motion and ran into a MAN DIESEL CARGO trailer with registration no (BAUCHI)TRR 611SA, contents gushing out.
“The firemen swiftly swung into action by covering the surface of the spillage with foam compound to suppress the spillage from catching fire within the vicinity.
No casualty was recorded and the fire service was able to save properties worth millions of naira.
Akinwande urged the public particularly the drivers of articulated vehicles to always drive with care and observe road safety tips to avoid accidents on our roads. He also emphasized the importance of having extinguishers in their respective vehicles to be able to extinguish fire when just started.
Similarly, properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed in a fire incident that ravaged a residential building in the Ogbomoso axis of Oyo State.
Heritage Echo gathered that the incident occurred at Oke Elerin Area, Ogbomoso.
It was discovered that six rooms and three shops in an ancient residential building were prevented from burning into ashes by the firefighters of the State Zonal command.
No casualty was recorded as properties worth millions of naira were saved from the inferno.

He said, “Today Friday, October 10, 2025. The distressed call was received through the running call and Mr Fatai at exactly 04:40hrs to the shops on fire at the above address.
“The fire personnel led by CFS Dairo Rasheedat(Mrs) promptly mobilized to the scene of the incident. Upon arrival, we met six rooms and three shops in an ancient residential building well alighted and we swiftly swung into action, the fire was curtailed and restricted from spreading to other nearby buildings and properties.
“No casualty was recorded. The operation was carried out successfully and properties worth millions of Naira were saved by the officers of the fire service.
He concluded that the cause of the fire incident was yet to be established and the post-fire incident investigation is ongoing to ascertain the root cause of the incident.
