The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government Area, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has extended heartfelt felicitations to Muslims in Lagelu and across Oyo State on the occasion of Id el Maulud, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

In a statement released by his Office on Friday, Hon. Kamorudeen described Id el Maulud as a time for reflection, unity, and renewed commitment to the teachings of the Prophet, which emphasize peace, compassion, and community development. He urged Muslims to embody these values in their daily lives, fostering harmony and progress within their communities.

“As we celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, let us draw inspiration from his exemplary life of humility, kindness, and dedication to the welfare of others. This is a moment to strengthen our bonds as a community and work together for the continued growth and prosperity of Lagelu,” the chairman stated.

Hon. Kamorudeen also highlighted his administration’s commitment to inclusive development, noting ongoing projects in infrastructure, security, and economic empowerment as part of efforts to improve the lives of residents. He reaffirmed his dedication to creating a secure and prosperous Lagelu, in line with the visionary leadership of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

The chairman wished all Muslims a joyful and spiritually fulfilling celebration— calling on residents to use the Id el Maulud festivities to pray for peace, unity, and progress in Lagelu, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
