The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, this morning paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan-designate, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his Ibadan residence.
Ogundoyin’s visit followed the official confirmation and approval of Oba Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The Speaker described the Olubadan-designate as a man of grace and providence.
Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin described the moment as one filled with “joy, pride, and reverence,” not just for the newly confirmed monarch but also for the enduring heritage and traditions of Ibadanland.
“Today, I had the distinct honour of paying homage to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his Ibadan residence, following the official announcement and approval of his ascension as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“It was a moment filled with joy, pride, and reverence not just for Kabiyesi, but for the rich heritage and tradition he now embodies.
“Oba Ladoja is a statesman of exceptional wisdom, and his reign promises to usher in peace, unity, and progress for Ibadanland.
“On behalf of the good people of Oyo State, and particularly the Oyo State House of Assembly, I extend heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.”
