The Secretary of Oyo West Local Government, Ojongbodu, Oyo, Hon. Adekanmbi Adepeju Folashade, has joined a growing list of political stakeholders in extending warm congratulations to Senator Monsurat Sunmonu on her recent inauguration as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention Planning Committee.
In a congratulatory message released on Friday, Hon. Adepeju described Senator Sunmonu as “a trailblazer and a woman of unmatched integrity whose contributions to party politics and national development remain exemplary.”
“Senator Monsurat’s appointment is a reflection of her consistency, capacity, and deep-rooted commitment to democratic ideals,” she said.

Senator Sunmonu, a former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and distinguished Senator, has long been recognized as one of Oyo State’s most respected political figures.
Her appointment to the committee tasked with planning the party’s 2025 Elective National Convention has been widely commended as strategic and timely.
Hon. Adepeju also commended the leadership of the PDP, particularly Governor Seyi Makinde, for ensuring that Oyo State continues to have strong representation at the national level of the party.
