PHOTOS: Tanker Carrying 45,000 Litres of PMS Tumbles in Oyo

Another Petroleum tanker carrying 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as Petroleum, has tumbled in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.

Heritage Echo gathered that the incident occurred opposite the AIB Filling Station, Eleyele Area, Ibadan.

It was learnt that the incident occurred on Tuesday.

DAILY POST gathered that the petroleum tanker with registration number BAU 586ZE swerved across the road and the contents gushed out.

Heritage Echo gathered that the petroleum trailer tanker with registration number T21044 LA ( LAGOS) swerved off the road into a nearby ditch, and the contents gushed out profusely.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform/Agency Chairman confirmed the incident in our correspondence.

He said, “The emergency call was received at exactly 20:45 hours on Tuesday, 29th July 2025, through a telephone call from Mrs Mary about the truck accident at the above address.

“Immediately the address was taken, A crew of Firemen led by CFS Olayiwola promptly deployed to the scene of the incident, and on getting there, it was a trailer tanker with registration number T21044 LA ( LAGOS), loaded with a 45,000-liter capacity of petroleum motor spirit (PMS), swerved off the road into a nearby ditch, and content gushed out profusely.

“The Firemen quickly swung into action and by applying chemical foam compound to damp the flammable liquid from catching fire from the surrounding.

The petrol trailer tanker has been removed from the road and normal vehicular movement has been restored, and everyday activities are going on properly.
