In recognition of his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and community upliftment, thw Supervisory Councilor for Works in Ido local government areas, Hon. Adedamola Olajide, popularly known as “ELEGANT”, has been honoured with a prestigious Community Leadership Award by the Elenusonso Development Association.
While presenting the award yesterday Elenusonsho community lauded Hon. Olajide’s exceptional service, visionary leadership, and tireless efforts in advancing the welfare of his constituents.
Speaking at the event, the General Chairman of the Elenusonso Development Association, Comrade Babajide, Atunluse of Elenusonsho described Hon. Olajide as “a rare breed of public servant whose dedication to inclusive development and grassroots empowerment has touched every corner of our community.”
He highlighted several landmark projects initiated in Ido Council areas by his mentor who double as the Chairman of Ido local government areas Hon. Sheriff Adeojo including road rehabilitation, youth employment initiatives, educational support programmes, and healthcare interventions.
Receiving the award, Hon. Olajide Elegant expressed deep appreciation to the people of Elenusonso for their trust and recognition.
“This honour means a lot to me, not just as a politician, but as a son of the soil. My mandate is service, and I remain committed to working tirelessly for the growth and development of Ido and beyond,” he stated.
Widely admired for his hands-on approach and people-centered style of leadership, Hon. Olajide has earned a household name among residents and stakeholders in Ido for his proactive governance and community engagement.
The award ceremony was graced by traditional leaders, political stakeholders, youth groups, and community members, all of whom commended Hon. Olajide’s impactful representation called for continued support for his developmental agenda.
