The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service Reform Committee, Prince Akinwande Akinfenwa, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Seyi Makinde and his wife, Engr. (Mrs.) Tamunominini Makinde, on the conferment of chieftaincy titles by a prominent traditional institution in Ondo state.

Governor Makinde was recently honored with the revered title of “Aare Omoluabi of Ondo Kingdom,” while the First Lady received the title of “Yeye Aare Omoluabi,” recognizing their outstanding contributions to the development, peace, and unity of Oyo State.

In a statement released and made available to newsmen on Saturday, Hon. Akinwande described the chieftaincy conferments as “a well-deserved recognition” of the Governor’s exemplary leadership and the First Lady’s steadfast support in championing humanitarian causes across the state.

“Governor Makinde has continued to demonstrate visionary leadership, transforming Oyo State through strategic reforms in governance, infrastructure, and public welfare,” Akinwande noted.

“As the head of the Fire Service Reform Committee, I have witnessed firsthand the Governor’s commitment to modernizing public institutions and improving safety infrastructure — including our fire and emergency response capabilities.”

He further lauded the First Lady’s role in empowering women, promoting education, and advocating for vulnerable groups through various initiatives under her office.

“The conferment of these chieftaincy titles is not only a celebration of individual achievement but also a testament to the collective progress we are witnessing in Oyo State under the Makinde administration,” Akinwande added.

The Fire Service Reform Chairman also used the occasion to reaffirm his committee’s commitment to supporting the Makinde-led government in its drive toward institutional excellence and public service delivery.

The chieftaincy conferment ceremony, which drew dignitaries from across the country, was marked by traditional rites, cultural displays, and widespread commendation for the Governor’s accomplishments since assuming office.
