The gubernatorial hopeful of the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), has paid tribute to the late immediate past Nigerian President, Muhammad Buhari saying he left a legacy of impactful leadership.
Dr. AKK made this known in a statement released, personally signed, and made available to the newsmen on Monday morning.
According to him, “It is with a heavy heart that I mourn the passing of His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He was a man of unwavering integrity and unshakeable patriotism, President Buhari left an imprint on our nation’s history.
His commitment to Nigeria’s progress and stability was evident in his service to the country, from his time in the military to his two terms as President, spanning eight years of dedicated leadership.
Throughout his tenure, President Buhari demonstrated a steadfast resolve to serve Nigeria, often making difficult decisions in the best interest of the nation. His leadership was marked by a strong sense of duty, and his efforts to promote peace, security, and development will be remembered for generations to come.
We bid farewell to this remarkable leader, and I pray that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of Nigerians.
I personally grieve the loss of this great leader, and I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the family of President Buhari, especially his widow, Hajia Aisha Buhari, the government, and the people of Nigeria. May Almighty Allah grant him Al-Janah Firdaus, may He grant us he left behind the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
May we continue to draw inspiration from his life and service, and may his memory remind us of the importance of patriotism, integrity, and selfless service to our beloved nation.
