The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, has sent a warm and affectionate birthday greeting to one of Oyo PDP’s most prominent figures, Chief Benedict Akika, the Agbaakin of Olorunda Aaba, describing him as his blood, brother, and a true friend.
In a heartfelt message made available to journalists on Tuesday, Hon. Babajide Gabriel spoke glowingly of the celebrant, applauding his loyalty, compassion, and unrelenting dedication to the advancement of humanity and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“Today, I celebrate not just a political figure, but someone who is genuinely close to my heart, Chief Benedict Akika.
He is my blood, my brother, and a friend I love so much.
A man who has stood by me through thick and thin, and one I can always count on as a strong and reliable backbone,” the lawmaker stated.
Hon. Babajide Gabriel noted that Akika’s consistent show of love, loyalty, and sacrifice, both in politics and personal relationships, makes him stand out as a man of rare character and grace.
He added that the celebrant’s life is a living testimony of service, love for the people, and unswerving loyalty to the PDP and Governor Seyi Makinde.
“Chief Akika is not just a pillar in the political space, but also a rock-solid personality in the lives of those who truly know him.
I am grateful to God for the gift of his life and for the privilege to walk this journey of service and friendship with him,” he said.
The lawmaker also highlighted Chief Akika’s impact through the Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF), commending his continuous efforts to uplift the downtrodden, empower the youth, and provide succor to widows and struggling families in Ibadan and beyond.
As Chief Akika marks another remarkable year on earth, Hon. Babajide Gabriel prayed for God’s abundant blessings, good health, and long life, affirming that his friendship, loyalty, and personality remain a treasured gift to him and the political family in Oyo State.
“Happy Birthday, my dear friend and brother. May the years ahead be filled with greater glory, unending joy, and fulfillment. Thank you for always being that friend to lean on,” he concluded.
