The federal constituency of Ido/Ibarapa East, the last two years under the stewardship of Hon. Aderemi Oseni have been nothing short of transformative. As he reflects on his journey, he expresses heartfelt gratitude to the people for their unwavering prayers and support.

This period, though brief, has been marked by impactful initiatives that resonate deeply with the community’s needs, showcasing the profound role of effective lawmaking in enhancing the quality of life for constituents.

Hon. Oseni’s tenure in the Green Chamber has felt like a decade of progress, as he has leveraged his background as an astute engineer to redesign and uplift his constituency. His commitment to quality representation has been evident in the strategic investments he has facilitated, which exemplify the synergy between good governance and community development.

One of Oseni’s flagship achievements is the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Ido Local Government. This facility is not merely a building; it represents a lifeline for many, ensuring that residents have access to quality healthcare without traveling long distances.

In a region where health challenges often go unaddressed, this initiative has been a beacon of hope, providing essential medical services that improve overall community health and well-being.

Oseni’s focus extends beyond healthcare. He has prioritised the provision and rehabilitation of transformers across all wards in Ido and Ibarapa, ensuring that electricity is a given, not a luxury. This commitment to infrastructure has been complemented by the procurement of earthmoving equipment worth N120 million, aimed at grading rural roads.

Such improvements are crucial for agriculture, enhancing food security by allowing farmers to transport produce to markets more efficiently. This investment not only facilitates better access for farmers but also stimulates local economies by opening up new market opportunities.

Recognising the importance of economic empowerment, Hon. Oseni has launched a N50 million interest-free loan scheme for traders throughout Oyo State, creating a pathway for entrepreneurship and economic resilience. This initiative is particularly vital in a region where small businesses are the backbone of the economy.

In addition, he has directly facilitated job opportunities for over a hundred youths, not just within his constituency but across the state. This initiative speaks volumes about his dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders and workers, providing them with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

Hon. Oseni’s vision for Ido/Ibarapa East is deeply rooted in agriculture, a sector he believes is fundamental for economic self-reliance. His empowerment scheme, which includes the launch of the Remi Oseni Soludero Cooperative Societies, provides farmers with access to credit, capacity-building opportunities, and technical support.

This strategic initiative aims to bolster agricultural productivity and sustainability. Moreover, the distribution of over 5,000 bags of fertilizer to farmers is a direct intervention that underscores his belief in agriculture as a cornerstone of prosperity. This support not only boosts yields but also restores confidence among farmers, reaffirming their vital role in the local economy and ensuring food security for the community.

Oseni’s achievements also extend to vital infrastructure projects, including the construction of link bridges that connect remote communities, breaking down the barriers of isolation that hinder development. By providing access to clean water and electricity in several villages, he has made tangible investments that enhance the quality of life for families, promoting productivity and comfort.

These initiatives are not just about physical infrastructure; they represent a commitment to improving the overall living conditions of the constituents, ensuring that no one is left behind.

As Hon. Aderemi Oseni looks to the future, he envisions a new season defined by greater impact, enduring legacies, and renewed momentum for progress. His commitment to the prosperity of Ibarapa East and the development of Oyo State is unwavering. Through a combination of visionary leadership, strategic investments, and unwavering dedication, he has laid a foundation that promises to yield significant benefits for future generations.

In a world where good quality lawmaking can transform lives, Hon. Oseni stands as a testament to the impact that a committed representative can have. His journey is a reminder that effective governance is not just about laws and policies; it is about the lives that those laws touch and the communities that thrive as a result. Together, with the support of the people, Hon. Oseni seeks to continue this journey of transformation, driving forward the Liberation Agenda and the Soludero Movement for a brighter future.

As we move forward, it is clear that the work is far from over. The road ahead is filled with challenges, but with the steadfast support of the community and a shared vision for progress, Hon. Aderemi Oseni is poised to continue making strides that will elevate Ido/Ibarapa East and contribute to the broader development of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
