Prince Afeez Kolade Siyanbola Ladigbolu, in a significant display of Royal diplomacy, paid a historic visit to the Palace of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade I.

Heritage Echo gathered that the visit is further to solidify the bond between their respective royal family (the Agunloyes).

Afeez Siyanbola, the Chairman of the Royal Colony Limited, was received with warm hospitality and high esteem by Alaafin Owoade.

He was engaged in a fruitful discussion, exploring ways to further strengthen their ties and promote mutual understanding with expression of optimism to transform the Oyo economy as well as Yorubaland in particular.

However, in his speech Prince Afeez Siyanbola pledged unwavering support to the new monarch, referring to the visit as a reaffirmation of strong ties in developing the Oyo empire, a custodian of culture and traditions.

“This is a symbolic gesture of solidarity, unity, and cooperation in promoting the highly referred stool of Alaafin,” he said.

In his remarks, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade commended the Prince for his support, stressing that it’s a significant step towards strengthening Royal ties, promoting mutual understanding as well as charting the way forward to the development of Oyo.

Oba Owoade further used the medium to call on other royal families to emulate the productive collaboration and good spirits of Prince Afeez Siyanbola Ladigbolu stressing that his palace is widely open to promote unity and development.

The visit was witnessed by an enthusiastic and cheerful crowd of indigenes and the royal Prince.
