As I reflect on the past six years, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the transformative leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State.
Having served in various capacities, including as a Supervisory Councillor, Local Government Secretary, and Member Oyo State House of Assembly, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the impact of good governance on our people.
As the Director-General of the Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Local Governments Election Campaign Council during the 2023 elections, I had the honor of working closely with Governor Makinde’s team to ensure a resounding victory for our party. Today, as I felicitate with him on his sixth year in office, I am reminded of the immense potential that lies within our state, and I am convinced that Governor Makinde’s leadership has been instrumental in unlocking that potential.
Under Governor Makinde’s watch, Oyo State has witnessed significant strides in various sectors, including infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. His administration’s people-centric policies have been designed to uplift the lives of our citizens, and his commitment to inclusive governance has earned him admiration and love from all and sundry.
As a leader who has served at various levels of government, I can attest to the fact that Governor Makinde’s leadership style is characterized by vision, wisdom, and a deep understanding of the needs of our people. His dedication to the well-being of Oyo State citizens is evident in the various initiatives and programs implemented under his administration, and I am confident that he will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the successful implementation of his roadmap for sustainable development (2023-2027).
As I celebrate this milestone with Governor Makinde, I am compelled to lift him up in prayer. I pray that God will continue to grant him wisdom, knowledge, and understanding as he navigates the complexities of governance. May God show him clear direction towards his satisfactory chamber, guiding him through the challenges of leadership and easing the stresses of fulfilling his destiny. May he be endowed with good health, strength, and divine favour to complete his tenure with joy and satisfaction.
I pray that God will grant Governor Makinde the ability to continue making positive impacts in the lives of Oyo State citizens and that his legacy will be one of love, care, and development. May his leadership be a source of inspiration to many, and may his commitment to public service be a beacon of hope for generations to come.
On this special occasion, I wish to express my solidarity with Governor Makinde’s administration and reaffirm my commitment to supporting policies and programs that promote the all-around development of Oyo State. I pray that God will grant him continued success, good health, and divine guidance as he navigates the remaining period of his tenure.
