Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF) has extended heartfelt congratulations to all children as the world celebrates Children’s Day on May 27.

The foundation praised the resilience, brilliance, and boundless potential of the younger generation, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to child development and empowerment.

In a statement released by the Foundation, the founder, Chief Benedict Akika through the media advisory, he emphasized the importance of nurturing children in an environment filled with love, education, and opportunities. “Children are the hope of our tomorrow. At the Omituntun Benedict Foundation, we believe every child deserves a chance to dream, grow, and succeed,” the statement read.

The foundation used the occasion to highlight its various initiatives targeted at child welfare, including educational scholarships, health outreach programs, mentorship schemes, and support for vulnerable children across Oyo State and beyond.

“As we mark this special day, let us all be reminded of our collective responsibility to protect and uplift the lives of children, ensuring no child is left behind,” the foundation urged.

The Omituntun Benedict Foundation called on government, civil society, and community leaders to invest more in education, healthcare, and child rights protection, stressing that the future of Nigeria rests in the quality of care and opportunities given to its children today.

Children’s Day in Nigeria is celebrated annually on May 27 to honor and recognize the rights, dignity, and welfare of children.

Happy Children’s Day!
