The Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Akinpelu Adeojo, has extended heartfelt commendations to all local government staff in Ido on the occasion of this year’s International Workers’ Day, applauding their unwavering commitment and service to the people of the council area.

International Workers’ Day is celebrated globally on May 1 to recognize and honor the contributions of workers to societal and economic development.

In a statement released on Thursday, Adeojo described the workforce as the engine room of grassroots development, noting that without their resilience and professionalism, many of the council’s developmental strides would not have been possible.

“Today, I celebrate every worker in Ido Local Government for your tireless efforts, steadfastness, and sacrifices toward the growth of our community,” the chairman said.

“Your hard work continues to strengthen our administration’s resolve to build a more prosperous and people-centered local government.”

Hon. Adeojo reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing staff welfare, capacity development, and a conducive working environment. He assured that his government would continue to ensure prompt payment of salaries, training opportunities, and improved infrastructure to support service delivery.

“As we celebrate Workers’ Day, let us renew our dedication to duty, excellence, and ethical conduct. Together, we will achieve even greater milestones,” he added.

The Ido council Chairman also used the opportunity to call for unity among staff and urged them to remain partners in progress as his administration continues various developmental projects across wards.
