The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has felicitated Muslims in Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement released by his Media Office and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Agboworin expressed his warmest greetings to the Muslim community.

He tasked Muslims on the need to continue to uphold the values of compassion, forgiveness, and generosity which, according to him, “are at the heart of the Islamic faith.”

The lawmaker equally called on all Nigerians to express love, peace and understanding among themselves at all times.

The statement read, “As Muslims mark the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, I join millions of Nigerians to felicitate with them on this joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

“Eid-el-Fitr is a celebration of faith, perseverance, and selflessness. It is a time for Muslims to come together with family and friends, share meals, and give to charity.

“But as we celebrate this festive occasion, I urge Muslims to continue to uphold the values of compassion, forgiveness, and generosity that are at the heart of the Islamic faith.

“I also call on all Nigerians, regardless of their faith or background, to join in the celebration and promote unity, peace, and understanding.

“Once again, I wish all Muslims a happy and blessed Eid-el-Fitr.”
