Emmanuel Alayande University of Education in Oyo has confirmed the receipt of the loan funds from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), and expressed the institution’s appreciation to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The Institution’s Media and Public Relations Officer, Wale Adeoye, made the news available to newsmen on Saturday in Oyo.

Adeoye confirmed in his report that the funds cover 915 students of the institution who applied for the student loans for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The statement read in parts;

“This is to inform the university community that the university is in receipt of the loan funds for 915 (nine hundred and fifteen) students of our university.
“Our university is grateful to NELFUND for this support to our students. The university also congratulates these 915 students.
“The loan beneficiaries will be invited to a meeting by the university next week for appropriate documentation and refund the students who already paid the school fees for 2023/2024 session.
Students have the alternative of receiving their money back or use it to pay for the 2024/2025 session school fees.
It is hoped that our students will also apply for 2024/2025 loan when NELFUND opens its platform for the session.
Meanwhile, all students are implored to pay their school fees for the 2024/2025 session as soon as possible. Only students who have paid school fees will be allowed into the lecture and examination hall.
Thank you.
