In a heartfelt message of condolence, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government has expressed his profound sadness over the transition of Engr. Sunday Makinde, elder brother to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde describing the grief as “emotional torture”.

The chairman also noted the difficulty of referring to someone so loved in the past tense, highlighting the deep impact of the loss.

“Words may seem insufficient to capture the grief that you must be feeling, sir. Losing one’s brother is a profound and heart-wrenching experience,” Hon. Kamorudeen wrote in the commiseration message to Governor Makinde. He further remarked on the sovereignty of God, acknowledging that the lives and breath of all are in God’s hands.

The message continued with prayers for the deceased, asking God to grant Engr. Sunday Makinde eternal rest in Aljana Firdaus (paradise). Hon. Kamorudeen also prayed for strength and fortitude for the entire Makinde family, as well as friends and loved ones, to endure the painful loss. “We’ll always miss this gentleman of an uncle,” he added, emphasizing the late Makinde’s kind-hearted and respectful nature.
