Osun Council Poll: My Administration Will Run People-oriented Policies, Says Atolagbe

The Ifedayo local government People’s Democratic Party (PDP)chairmanship candidate, Kayode Atolagbe, has pledged to run an open-door policy where everybody will be carried along in his administration.

Atolagbe made the disclosure on Wednesday during the council campaign train at Ora-Igbomina, while soliciting for support of the community towards the forthcoming local government elections slated for February 22, 2025.

PDP members and supporters trooped out in their numbers to receive the Campaign Committee, the Chairmanship candidate, Kayode Atolagbe, his Vice, Kayode Ajiboye and all the councilorship candidates.

Speaking further, Atolagbe He outlined his visionary agenda, emphasizing the imperative of people-oriented policies. He assured the gathering that, upon assuming office, his administration would prioritize the needs and aspirations of the people, placing them at the epicenter of his policy decisions.

The Chairmanship hopeful, also lavished praise on the “people’s Governor,” Senator Ademola Adeleke, noting that the people of Ifedayo would reap tremendous benefits from his transformative programs. He urged the people to continue supporting Governor Adeleke’s visionary leadership.

Speaking with conviction, Atolagbe assured the indigenes that he possessed an intimate understanding of their needs and aspirations. Having lived among them and forged strong family ties, Atolagbe pledged to implement policies that would positively impact every stratum of society, without bias or sentiment.

According to him, with leaders by his side, he is more determined than ever to continue fighting for a better future for Ifedayo local government, stressing that it will be a future built on principles of inclusivity, transparency, and genuine progress for all.

He said: “I will not lie to Ifedayo people. I will not cheat them or steal from them. When I am sworn in by February, I shall run a people-oriented government.

“I shall work for what my people want. I shall slave for what my people need, and I shall sacrifice for what will make Ifedayo local government become once again a shining example in Osun State.

In his remarks, the leader of the party, Apesin Olufemi Omotara urged people not to be deceived by the APC, noting that the PDP government has come to stay in Osun and Ifedayo LG.

He called on all members to continue to support and pray for Governor Adeleke as he strives to take Osun to an enviable height in the commity of states.

The party chairman, Hon. Adeyemi Oyinlola took time to outline what the PDP administration will do in Ifedayo as from February 2025, stressing that all those who engage in petty businesses will be assisted through the people’s oriented programs of Atolagbe’s government.

Among notable leaders who attended the campaign were, Alh. Yisa Adebayo, Alh. Ismail Adeyemi, Elder Lekan Osundina, Alh. Tunji Awotayo, Hon. Yemi Adeoti, Alhaja Taibat Abidoye, Hon. Olu Oyewole, Hon. Isiaka Olajide, Alhaji Fatai Ayorinde, Alhaji Gani Lawal, Hon. Olu Ibitoye, Hon. Oluwaseyi Adeniyi, Hon. (Mrs.) Adeoti Adesola Ronke, Hon. (Mrs.) Adebisi Hannah Foluke, and Hon. Ayobami Adeyeye, and other esteemed leaders and members
