The Councilor representing the good people of Ashipa 2, Ward 09 in Atiba local government areas of Oyo State, Hon. Oluwasegun Gabriel Oyekola has empowered 20 constituents with Cash to alleviate suffering and create wealth.
Oyekola, the two-timer grassroots legislature cash empowerment, held today during the weekly Ward 09 meeting at Saabo, Oyo township.
Beneficiaries are; Sauda Yekinni Ajonbadi, Moses Oladejo, Muraina Sarafa Afolabi Taiwo, Opadoku Funmilayo, Iyawo Taye Mutiat, Basiru Olojede, Azeez Wasiu, G.A Adigun, Mrs. Olaogun Abiola, Mr. Saheed Oloyede, Eledamasun Raifu, Muftau Alabi, Titiloye Ajibola, Oladokun Segun, Adebare Suliyat, Alfa Rasheed Odejobi, Joshua Oyerogba and Akinleye Ogunbode.
The empowerment aimed at supporting vulnerable members of the community was widely welcomed by the leaders, Stakeholders, beneficiaries, and party members praising the uncommon initiatives of the Royal Council legislature in cushioning poverty.
Speaking during the disbursement of the Cash, Hon. Oluwasegun Oyekola reaffirmed that the empowerment scheme was carried out to ease the pains of his people, create wealth, and promote unity within the party.
According to him, Councillors are the government closer to the people at the grassroots, the Governor has made sure their entitlements are paid as when due to enable them to perform their duties diligently and effectively.
Hon. Segun, however, lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE, for his people-centric approach to governance, making grassroots administration productive.
He applauded the leadership of the former Speaker of Oyo State, Sen. Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu for his motherly guidance and counseling.
He praised her for outstanding contributions to the development of Oyo State, thus, Oyekola acknowledged Sunmonu’s tireless efforts in promoting good governance in Pacesetter State.
“Maami Aduke, Abiamo lojo Ogun le, your leadership style has inspired many young politicians like me in the state” he disclosed.
The lawmaker also lauded the uncommon true representation of his leader, the two-timer lawmaker and Oyo Assembly Chief Whip, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola stressing that he’s a role model and a shining example of what it means to serve with integrity and dedication.
”My achievement today is a true reflection of Hon. Gbenga Oyekola’s legacy, a testament to his commitment to public service who has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive positive change in Atiba State Constituency ” he affirmed.
The Councilor now commended the support of the Sakutu-Saabo Ward 09 leaders, Stakeholders, and party members towards key-in to his democratic dividends agenda.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Odejobi Rasheed appreciated the Councilor for the kind gesture while praying for God’s guidance on his efforts to transform the Ward to the promised land.
