The President of Araromi Market, Gate, and Chairmen of affiliated Unions have paid a thank-you visit to the Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service Agency, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande, today at the agency’s headquarters in Ibadan, the State Capital.
While speaking with our correspondence, the visit was to express the market’s appreciation for the agency’s prompt response to a recent fire incident at the market, which prevented what could have been a major disaster.
During the visit, the market president praised the agency’s chairman and his team for their professionalism, diplomacy, and dedication to duty in saving lives and properties in Pacesetter State.
According to him, “We are grateful for your swift response to our distress call, your agency’s efforts saved our market from what could have been a devastating fire incident.”
In his response, the chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service Agency, Hon. Moroof Akinwande, thanked the market president and his entourage for the visit and assured them that the agency would continue to work tirelessly to protect lives and property in the state.
He applauded the unwavering support of the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde since his resumption to office as the agency’s Chairman, stressing that Governor Makinde has provided the agency with the necessary equipment, training, and personnel to effectively carry out its duties.
He said, “We’ve been able to reduce the incidence of fire outbreaks in the State, and we have also been able to respond promptly to fire incidents, thereby minimizing damage and loss of lives.
He further reiterated the agency’s commitment to providing top-notch fire safety services to the people of Oyo State while commending the thank-you visit of the market personnel.
