Oba Ajibade, Oluyole Traditional Council To Honor Olatunji With Asiwaju Oluomo Title Feb. 15

As a recognition of his exemplary leadership and commitment to grassroots development, HRH Oba Amidu Ajibade, the Oluyole Traditional Council, will on February 15 honor the executive chairman of the local government with the prestigious title of ‘Asiwaju Oluomo’ of Oluyole.

This was contained in an official letter by the Oluyole Traditional Council that was presented to Olatunji in his office at Idi-Ayunre, LG Secretariat, on Monday, January 20.

Speaking, Baale Kabiru Olajide Olayemi, Head of the Baale-in-Council, lauded Olatunji’s achievements since assuming office, describing his success as unprecedented while emphasizing his dedication to community development and the welfare of the people.

The title of Asiwaju Oluomo is a rare and highly esteemed honor, reserved for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the welfare of their communities.

The Council also disclosed that Olatunji would be the first recipient of the highly coveted title while describing him as an embodiment of the typical Yoruba ‘omoluabi’ ethos.

According to the Oluyole Traditional Council, the decision to confer the title on the Olatunji is a testament to his impactful contributions to governance, community development, and the promotion of peace and harmony among all religions and ethnicities in Oluyole LG.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional Council, Chief Olayemi (Baale), praised the chairman for his visionary leadership and collaborative approach to governance which has brought about the transformation in the council.

He said the chairman has proven to be a man of the people, a leader who prioritizes the needs of the grassroots adding that his efforts in providing infrastructural development, empowering the youth, and improving the living standards of the people have been widely acknowledged by all residents and indigenes of Oluyole LG.

The official installation ceremony is expected to attract dignitaries from across the state, including the deputy governor, traditional rulers, political leaders, and notable personalities from the private sector.

In his brief remarks, the council chairman expressed gratitude to Oba Amidu Ajibade and the traditional council for the honor and pledged to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of Oluyole and its people.

“This recognition is not just for me but for the entire Oluyole local government. It is a call to do even more in ensuring that Oluyole continues to thrive as the envy of others,” Olatunji said.
