Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Gbenga Ogunbote, has expressed his team’s readiness for tougher challenges in the second round of the 2024/25 NPFL season.

In a chat with Shooting Stars’ Media after the team’s first training session after resuming from a short break, the tactician said the Oluyole Warriors would leave no stone unturned to have a positive canpaign when the league resumes.

“I think we do not need anybody to tell us that it is going to be a very tough second round, even though the first round was equally challenging.

” Our position in the first round will surely attract a lot of challenges but we have been able to tell our players and I am sure they are aware of that too. Everything we need to do is to be on our toes, to make sure that we give in our best to ensure that we represent the tean and the state very well”, stated the forner Sunshine Stars and Remo Stars’ sweat merchant.

The Oracle, as the highly reverred coach is popularly called, spoke on efforts to get the grey areas noted in the firsr half addressed with the injection of fresh legs before the restart of the league.

“We are still on the move and until we have the papers, we cannot yet say we have one, we are working on it but I’m sure very soon, by this weekend, we must have gotten a few fresh legs joining the team”.

The gaffer expressed happiness with the response of the players to the first training session after resumption from the break.

“I am very happy with the turn out of the players fot today’s (Monday) resumption. Even though we are still expecting some of them but I must confess, I’m impressed with what I saw today,” added the ex Rangers International coach.

While appreciating the supporters and fans of the club for their support so far, Ogunbote appealed to them to give more to the team in the second round.
