The General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Dimeji Lawal, has hailed the supporters and fans of the club for maintaining orderliness during the team’s home matches in the first round.
Reviewing the first round of the season, which ended last Sunday, the former Super Eagles winger, said the supporters and fans of the club played important role in the impressive outing of the team.
“On behalf of my chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro led management, coaches, staff and players, I want to appreciate our teeming supporters and fans for ensuring we had a hitch free first round at home.
“We were able to achieve what we achieved in the first round because of their support and that is because of their belief in us. Even when were not doing well, they still stood by us and this contributed to our success so far. Kudos to them”.
Kabongo, as the former Real Madrid star is fondly called, then assured the club’s backers of a more rewarding second round, stressing that efforts have already started to improve the team’s quality.
“We know we didn’t have a perfect team in the first round but I want to assure them that we are already working to address our shortcomings.
“We have a competent technical crew led by coach Gbenga Ogunbote and and we are sure they will fix all the grey areas before the commencement of the second round”, stated the former Julius Berger and Shooting Stars player, who asked for more support from the fans.
