Hon. Abdulrazaq Idris Alabi, the newly swearing-in Supervisory Councilor in Atiba local government, Offa-meta, Oyo, has penned a heartfelt appreciation message to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde FNSE, for his appointment as one of the cabinets at the grassroots level.

Speaking shortly after the swearing-in ceremony today at the conference room of the Executive Chairman of Atiba local government, Hon. Abdulrazaq Idris amidst cheers applauded the Vice-chairman of Nigerian Governor’s Forum, Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, for his youth-inclusive governance, thereby promoting Not Too Young to Rule in promoting democratic dividends.

According to him, “I’m highly flabbergasted upon hearing my name as one of the newly appointed Supervisory Councilors; our Governor has been instrumental in repositioning the state back to its lost glory, while I promised to live up to the expectations of the people, promote good governance at the grassroots and making Oyo State proud.”

Hon. Idris promised to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in him by His Excellency, the Royal Council residents, and the people of Oyo State.

Equally, he penned heartfelt appreciation to the State Party Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, and the Legal Adviser, Barrister Waheed Gbadegesin, for their surprise nomination and confirmation of his nomenclature, thereby giving him a blessing for the new year in a highly surprised manner.

“You’re indeed a worthy leader of inestimable values, a shaper of destiny, and a key political figure in Pacesetter State. You’ve justified the fact that the Son of Nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody, till eternity I’ll forever be grateful to you and your political dynasty”

“I’m proud to say that I’m the last born of Alhaji Adeleke and Barrister Waheed Gbadegesin, who rewarded my sweat, and tears with a surprise and unbelievable appointment, I never believed such an upliftment like this could happen at this precious time”

He, however, promised the good people of the Royal Council improved State-of-the-Art infrastructure development and worked hand-in-hand with the executive Chairman in the restoration of the legacy of Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem.

The Council Chairman, in his remarks, while administering the oath of office to the Supervisory Councilors, charged them to be dedicated, transparent, and accountable in their duties. He also reminded them that their appointment was a call to service and not an opportunity for self-aggrandizement.

He also urged them to work in harmony with other stakeholders to achieve the development goals of the Royal Council.
